About Bharat QR

Bharat QR (or Quick Response) Code is a two-dimensional barcode made up of black and white squares. These are typically displayed at merchant outlets or on their website and contain all the information that you need to make payment to that merchant through your card.

Bharat QR follows the standards issued by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and accepts payments made using all types of cards such as VISA, RuPay, MasterCard and American Express cards issued by any Bank.

 

Scan Bharat QR code and make Payments using our Mobile Banking application

You can follow these steps to seamlessly transact with our mobile banking application at merchant sites that accept Bharat QR payments:

  • Launch your IDFC Bank Mobile Banking App. Please be sure that you are using the latest version here.
  • On the login page itself, you will see a band reading ‘SCAN AND PAY’. Simply tapping it will invoke your phone’s camera.
  • Hold the phone camera steady in front of the Bharat QR code and let it scan.
  • Once scanned, the merchant details will get auto populated and you will need to enter the amount.
  • Once you proceed with the payment you will be asked to login to your mobile banking app.
  • Select the card that you want to transact using and authorize the transaction with your OTP, post logging in.
  • When the transaction is completed both, you and the merchant will receive a confirmation SMS.

Transacting with your card at merchant sites that accept Bharat QR payments is much like swiping your debit card. This system is completely secure and you will be entitled with all the benefits that are applicable for your card.
